Wow I suck!
I suck at a lot of things, but I'm best at not posting. I should really try to pick it back up again! Facebook is killing my livejournal!!!
Just to let people know if they're interested (I've had a couple of comments lately) that the vid hosting site I normally use is down and I don't think it will be back again, so I'll have to try find some other way to show them.
Also I'm still alive and still vidding, I just have this problem where I start a video, get half way through then watch a vid by Hollywoodgrrl or humansrsuperior then feel like an amateur then get scared off it for a while. I have about 8 that are nearly finished and another 6 or so that have been started... So one day...

On another more personal note, just got back from a trip to melbourne. Had a good time but now im just really depressed. My pet rat died the night before I left. I get home this afternoon and see the spot where his cage used to be, on top of that my brother is giving me shit. I wish he'd get a life and move out. Or that I could get enough money to move out. I cant live with him anymore!

So I have been working on this on and off for I'm guessing 9 months and only now have I finally stopped procrastinating enough to do so. I have actually had it on the net for several days now, but I have been really sick the last couple of days, then I got hit a big blow yesterday and have been feeling down, but screw it all, this is way more important!
This was a video requested to me by nightswhisper AGES ago, who gave me this song and said "Make a vid" (well maybe not like that exactly) I listened to the song and loved it. This idea then sprouted up into my head and now here's what I finally came up with. Hope this is was what you were hoping for Cas.

No Way!!
So what’s new with me? Well I'm on uni holidays at the moment, busy playing poker and loosing all the time. Still waiting for my brother to come home, missing him a lot at the moment. Started to go to the Chiropractor last week and discovered that my neck in particular is completely screwed, which would explain the pain I'm getting in it all the time. It's gonna cost me a fortune and take forever, but I have real hopes for it. Oh and I solved a rubik cube puzzle! My life ambition has now been fulfilled. I can now add that to my resume.

The other good news is that I'm finally gonna go meet David Hewlett! Yay! I’m heading over to Melbourne for my 22nd Birthday to go see Wicked and thought I would hit the Armageddon convention. That way I will also get to see Michael Shanks and David Anders!!! So exciting! I have also been talked into entering some videos into the AMV competition, so I have finally stopped procrastinating and have now almost finished a couple. I will get them up very, very shortly, so watch this space if your interested.
I figured I’ll enter these 2 doctor who ones when I finish and then perhaps one of my old SGA ones, still haven’t decided which one yet. Anywho I best be off. Got to go to cricket training and then get back to this video, running out of time till the holidays finish. Later

I feel like I have been neglecting my LJ, I must remember to try to update more often. Good news is that my school teaching prac is officially over and I thought it went rather well all things considering. Loved my year 8 and 9 SOSE classes. Made up a blindfold "what it was like to be a convict in solitary confinement" game, which was a huge success. A shame, it finished when it did, I was just stating to feel like I fitted in.

My new laptop is doing much better, thanks to some time by Lockstock, who is actually flying out to America as I type this. Have an Awesome trip dude! Bring back lots of photos!!!

Travelling up to QLD on Wed to see my brother and go to his graduation. He will officially be an Air Field Defence Guard in the Australian Air Force - so proud of him. He's then coming back down to Adelaide, until they can organise a full time job for him. He's moving in with my cousin who I have corrupted into playing poker every second night. I have to seriously stop or I'll run out of money before I can earn it.

Babysitting right now actually. Gah, trouble kids. They kept coming in the house making some lame excuse about looking for seeds in the frigde, then smuggling stuff away. I just snuck around the side of the house then, to find them making some discusing mud, grass thing, and cracking an egg into it.
wtf?!

Ah the joys of being a kid. On a seperate note, according to a Nintendo DS game, I have the brain of a 62 year old, which my mother finds absolutely hilarious. :(

Had the weirdest dream the other night... It was a combination of 3 tv shows, one which I think I made up for the convenience of the story (which made no sense, yet always does in a dream) Life on Mars, in which Sam was a psychopathic drug dealer bent on taking everyone down (not cool) and CSI: NY which I dont even watch! Then I somehow ended up in Prison (that bit surprisingly does make sense - long story) and then then witness to something which involved a very old town,possibly old London and then it gets fuzzy :S Anyway, it was awesome!
Now for a rant.
Computer! Brand new laptop and it has started to turn on me already. My video editing program has shat itself so i cant work on any for who knows how long! I was almost finished 2 off them too! GAH! Worse of all, I actually feel like vidding now and I cant! :(
House is a total mess and has been like a construction site for a while now, getting renovations.
Cant drive for a couple of days which also sucks (long story) and I have to start prac teaching on Monday which is just shit scary. I Get to teach a whole group of year 9's about Australian History, and year 8's about Vikings... I know nothing about Vikings!.. What the Hell is a Viking?! Therefore I have spent the last day or two researching. I have found out I knew more than I thought. One of their god's is 'Thor' of 'Asgard'... Thank god for Stargate...

Well I just arrived back from a short trip to Sydney with my mum. Had a great couple of days! Went to see Billy Elliot, took a visit to Taronga Zoo and saw the funniest demented pelican of all time. Lol, his name was Marney and he reminded me of a unruly puppy when your trying to train them. What else? Took a nice walk around the rocks, saw the harbour, went over to Manley and caught up with my hubby! (Kelly from my Contiki trip) Man it was good to see her again, it was just like old times. I'm gonna have to try catch up with some more people.

And on another note, I have just come across the videos of humansrsuperior. Just let me say... OMG! I want to be able to vid like that! I haven't got around to watching them all yet, but from what I've seen, they are amazing. She even does life on mars videos! I have hardly seen any LOM vids, anyone have any other good ones they can point me in the direction of? My favourite of HRS has to be the doctor who ones though. Where do all the animals go to die?

You never see random dead animals around the place (other than on the side of the road, which dont count) What happens to them all? What happens to birds? Do they just fall out of the sky?
What about possums or koalas? You never see them dead at the bottom of trees. Oooh and ducks
do they just sink? Its a very big issue! I know I know there are all types of answers about how they perish and fertilise the trees and get eaten etc etc. But that still doesn't explain why you never see this. Why don't we therefore see half decomposed animal carcass or little animal skeletons lying around the place. There are a lot of animals in the world people!!!
Ahhh this is hurting my brain :(

On another note, pretty much finished this contiki video I have been slowly making (very slowly I know) So now I can get back to my other various Dr Who, Torchwood, Life on Mars and now Dead Like me videos. Still no Atlantis in the works Im afraid, despite just learning that I won half the video awards in the latest Stargate Fan Awards. Thanks everyone who voted! Stand in the Rain did exceptionally well you will be happy to hear Fede :)

Well I suppose thats not entirely true, I just hate some of it. I got back some results the other day and only just scraped through with a very unimpressive 52%. Whoo go me. I hate that subject, I so don't get it. I thought I was signing up for Revolutionary China - A History subject, rather than '200 years of Chinese Politics'- GAH I suck at politics, if I knew it was gonna be this I never would have bothered. Now I'm supposed to be doing this research proposal that's due in on Monday, but have decided after writing about 10 words (Only 990 to go!) that it would be much more fun to drink yummy flavored vodka filled drinks and watch 'The Sixth Sense' as well as numerous old 'Scrubs' episodes. Oh and don't even get me started on my stupid art tutor. He is a complete dickhead, yet I seem to be the only person who has a problem with him. Or perhaps I am the only one who shows it. The only good thing about the 2 hour lecture he gives us is the 15 min car ride home where I get to rant and rave about how much of a jerk he is! Yeah if it weren't for all that, I would really be enjoying uni this year.

Went on a road trip up to Wagga a little while back with my parents and my future sister-in-law to visit my brother and attend his recruit graduation into the Air force. He's now up living on base in Queensland, which is pretty good. Um what else, oooh started up at a gym with some friends... first time almost killed me but felt great after. Oh and my rat is definitely a girl for anyone who is keeping track. Very jealous of everyone doing anything more interesting than me. Wish I was still up there with you Emma, some distance from home is great. I hear Stella will be up there again soon.

Oh and how good is the new Doctor Who? Ah who am I kidding, I'd say that no matter what, David Tennant is sooooo hot. I actually had a really weird dream about Doctor Who last night. Everyone was in it, characters long gone - it was kinda like 'this is your life' and for some reason Martha was like some weird spider-like machine with just her head, that kinda scatted along...I wonder what that's supposed to mean? meh, oooh ended up watching all of Ashes to Ashes which turned out to be very good indeed. Thanks to Hollywoodgrrl who through her ramblings and MV convinced me to give it another go. Now why must they torture us into waiting till next year!!! Anyways thats it, cant think of much else. Hope everyone is doing well.

Bought myself a new friend the other day, he's so cute... unfortunately not many people agree with me. He's a rat and I've called him Alonzo :P Mostly white but has a cream head. Awwwwww
Had to go get him a new home today, cause he wasnt keen on the old one. Now he's running around all over the place. He's only about 4 weeks old so he's still really little and scared. (not helped by the 2 cats and the beagle sticking their noses up to the glass trying to get him - poor thing) Pretty emo if you ask me, sitting in the corner but he's getting better each time I take him out.
He escaped earlier today on my desk and hid behind my tv and I couldnt get him out for about a half hour but its all good, lesson learnt :P

Found out the other day that my brother is moving away in under 3 weeks to start training with the Australian Airforce, so that will be weird. As much as it pains to say me, I may just possibly miss him an incy tiny little bit.

Have been introduced to a couple of different shows in the last 3 weeks or so. Life on Mars, which I absolutely love and cant wait to see how it's all gonna end. The other is Dexter which is one of the most messed up shows I have ever seen. It is seriously disturbing and I cant help but love Dexter and I hate that! If you've seen the show you'll know what I mean. It's basicly the story of a police forensics specialist who in his free time away from solving crime, doubles as a serial killer... seriously deranged...

Been busy scrapbooking my photo's from my trip and are well into edditing 4 (or is it 5?) different videos including a "Contiki memories" one which Is gonna be really cool (well to anyone who went on the trip) If I ever finish the thing.

Work sucks! Well it hasnt really, I have just been getting virtually no hours which is bad when your 4 grand in debt with your parents for galivanting all over Europe not long ago. Oh and on top of that, I decided yesterday afternoon that I'm going to go to Thailand either end of this year or beginning of next with my cousin. So I was very pleased when my other cousin rings me today telling me she's scored me some work. Whooo! I guess things are looking up :D

Since I have got back I have done a few quick little projects I thought I might share with you.
First of all are a couple of drawings I did the other day of Shep and Weir... because I havent really done them before and cause I was bored. Each took about 20 - 30 mins and you can see the dodgy scan of them behind the cut below

So I guess I should wish everyone a Happy New Year and apologise for being such a lousy LJ updaterer... So I am back home in Australia, couldn't really handle the cold and the short days, add to that, I was completely broke and my mum was begging me homoe, so here I am. Came back for Christmas, which wasn't the best, but never is. Oh and I'm finally 21, a couple of months ago now though! Family came up to seee me in London which was nice(albeit most of them sick, including me) got some mega cool pressies (Dr Who season 1 and 2 as well as Atlantis season 3 - I am such a fan girl, so easy to buy for not to mention a whole wad of money. Thankyou so much everyone at work it was very unexpected of you all and I think I even cried. Loved your card too Jessie it was the best ever! Raph is soooo adorable! I've got it sitting out in my room! Oh and Callum you totally rule 3 autographs!!! Joe Flannigan, Conner Trinner and Alan Tudyk!!!) Went for a nice walk around Kensington and Hyde park with my mum and bro, then bought myself a 500gb external hard drive (which was over half full 5 days later) That night we went to see Phantom of the Opera at her majesty's theatre, which was brilliant. Had a late diner and didnt get back till like midnight, but it was a great day.

Ok so time for my last travel update, filling in the gaps since my last post. A little bit of the UK, Scotland, my parents coming up to visit, but most importantly Cardiff! Whooo home of both Dr Who and Torchwood. *breathes again* (sorry mum, dad and Chad, it’s good to see you too) Mmmmm definitely a cause for one of those lovely cuts, might even be able to throw in a few pics too, but lets not get our hope up for that just yet (I’ll explain that later, but if you want to know why, you’ll have to click the random statement below.

I'm trying hard to do more updates just for you mum! You do realise that if I spend all my day on the net writing updates then I wont get to see anything and will therefore have nothing to write about. Might stick this behind a cut actually, here it goes: ( Cut )

In Germany again. Berlin this time. Only been here a few hours but can already tell its a lot different to the other German places I have been so far. Staying in a cool little hostel in the evil eastern side of town. *key dramatic music* havent got the chance to do much, been doing shit all really, I think Im kinda pissing Daniel off with my lack of enthusiasm. I'm trying really, but I just don't function on 3 hours sleep, just the way it works, I have no control. So yeah been in Ireland the last week. Spent a day in Dublin, a bit like today, functioning on like no sleep as a result was in a bit of a meh piss off mood, so didnt enjoy it as much as I thought I would. The next day we headed up to Belfast which was a different story. Had a ball up there walking around all the old war torn areas checking out all the war murals and memorials scattered over the place. The next day we went on a tour up to the North to the Giants Causeway and some of the other attractions up there, which was sweet as. So beautiful up there. Next day was back to Dublin which was a lot better. Had a walk around and I ventured into town at night by myself to go on a ghost bus tour which was just the coolest/funniest thing ever. Had so much fun with that, all the freaky stories and the guide scaring the crap out of a few of the girls. Hahahaha! Then yesterday we went on another day tour to check out some of the old Celtic ruins around the place, with a very Irish Irishman, who spent the whole day pulling Bono jokes about how small he was. Poor wee leprechaun man. Hehehe then cruised around a couple of the bars including the well known Temple Bar, listening to all the live Irish Music. The Irish are nothing if not entertaining and in love with their beer and music. Got back to the hostel rather latish, got 2 or 3 hours sleep then was up again for the airport which just SUCKED! So yeah thats how I found myself back here.

No more Contiki. I miss everyone already. I had a ball, best trip I have ever done. I met so many great people some of which will stay friends for a long time. Saw so many cool things too; something I will never forget. I suppose I should tell ya all what I've been up to in the last few weeks, it's been a while since I updated, but finally I have access to a comp with internet YAY!!!

In other news, watched the first couple episodes of season 3 Prison Break, which has started off really well. I am still hopeful. A Dogs Breakfast has been released. Still cant see me watching it anytime soon, same with Atlantis that starts on Fri. I am trying really hard not to think about it but had to go read spoilers the other day which was a bad idea cause now I'm even more excited *sigh* Anyways Im off for now. Hello peeps!

Writing to you from sunny Spain. For anyone who´s interested here´s what I´ve been up to for the last week or so. Its a pretty long post, so I´ll shove it behind a cut.

Wow I have lots of news to tell ya all! Where to start, where to start…

Quick, boring stuff first, been working the last couple of weeks in at Statewide where my mum works doing filing… That has to be one of the boringest (I think I just made up another word) jobs EVER! DON’T DO IT!! On the upside, probably managed to earn an extra grand. Hmmm what else, oooh got my hair cut, looks very different now its cool, I like it :)

Other than that, my best friend Jess had her baby on Friday morning at 3.45am. 9.7 pounds (If you have seen Jess you would understand just how amazing this is – her uncle described her and her boyfriend like a pixi and a giant she’s a tiny) and they are both doing great! It’s a boy (but we all knew that ages ago) and his name is Raphael Bernard Jenkins. Went in to see them both yesterday and again today, and I cant get over just how cute little Raph is. He’s so adorable! I’m so glad I got to see him before I go away, he’s gonna be so big when I get back!

Speaking of going away I had a party with some friends and family last night. Feeling a little under the weather today though. Not that bad though, it was more like my stomach was giving me a warning “don’t do it again!” Played a bit of pool, and eventually got around to doing dome drunken dancing (I never dance) and around 3am decided to do some loud drunken singing. Got heaps of photos too which is great cause I don’t have many of my friends unfortunately. All in all I had an absolute ball! Hope everyone else did too, most seemed too, of course I was drunk at the time so perhaps my perception was a little off :P
