A Rant and a New Vid!  
So I'm finally home from work at 8pm, minding the little munchkins and man are they show offs on the piano. They are trying to teach me "James Bond" I've finally got the right hand down, still a little unsure of the left but are hopeless when it comes to putting the two together. I have had such a frustrating day. I am sick to bloody death of *@$*!#* Centerlink! The stupid *@$*!#* place are just stupid and I'm over the whole damn thing the place is full of idiots and now they've got me going into this job place and making me do all this *#@* and they don't give a damn that im still studying part time, the want me to stop and get a full time job which is total @#*^&!@&%#^&%$#*@*@&#!!!!!! I'm leaving the country in under 3 months and their making me go through all sorts of metaphorical hoops It's driving me insane. On a better note I've been to a few job interviews and i have a trial day on Thursday afternoon and with any luck it will go well and I wont have to worry about all this @#*^ and can go tell them to... well you get the idea. I can find work on my own, you bastards! GRRRRRRR

Now I've got that out of the way VIDEO TIME!!!

Once again I'm back with a new vid and am doing my thing to promote great Australian music :D
This was mostly a muse that just would not let me go. I really love this song and have been trying to figure out a way to vid to it for ages and this is what I finally came up with. it has been pretty much finished for several months now, so the other day I decided I should finally do something about getting it up here. It was intended as a kind of action video because I've been wanting to practice, but compared to this new one I'm doing at the moment, its kinda lame in that regard, but I'm still really pleased with it... I just really like this song!

Thanks again as always to Kyri for hosting, she's an absolute legend! I hope you all enjoy it.

Ahhhhhhhhh Centerlink!! Sorry I just read Eskimo Joe and got excited before. :D

But yes Centerlink!! Bastards! I hate Centerlink. I tried to go on Centerlink once but got too pissed off with all the forms they kept giving me each time I brought one back. Argh! Just thinking about it raises my blood pressure! And I'm on the other side of the world!

Very nice vid! I love the clip choice for "red letter day, black heart... it's gonna tear you all apart" and I like the mirroring between Sheppard and McKay. They have definitely faced a lot together on Atlantis, you put it together really well here.

I really like this vid, there really wasn't anything I could pick in it that needed improving which is always a good thing ^_^

A wonderful video. It'll be one I replay constantly.

I think the juxtaposition of the Sheppard and McKay was wonderfully done. Ya know, since to me it is their show, and it really captures important moments and their respective actions and reactions.

Nice song choice, btw. I have no clue who Eskimo Joe is, but it fits well and is a pretty cool song. :b

As for the audio, I've never had problems playing any of your videos, and this one was no different.

*cries* I still can't get any audio on your vids. I used to, so I don't know what I'm doing different - it's probably on my end. What software do you use? I'll see if I'm missing a plug in or something. I love your vids (and this song) so I really want to fix this problem. And agreed with centerlink. Are you studying at uni, or a course? Because if you're at uni, they're supposed to leave you alone - even in the four/five months over the summer semester. That's what they told me anyway, and they haven't hassled me so far. The only time they did, with the changes to parenting payments, I asked how it all works with uni, and they said if I'm at uni, I don't have to worry about any of it. They also told us that if you're studying or training (besides uni) you only have a problem if you've got more than two weeks when you're not doing something, so keep at them, because studying and training are supposed to be permitted, and they are supposed to fascilitate(sp?) that. The gits they have working for them sometimes though, it's like pounding your head against a brick wall. :(

well, dude, i just had to take a gandering look-see, as you already well know that i am ob'd about sheppard (& now mckay too actually) loike whoooooooa. ;) And your vids ALWAYS deliver on that front. :)

great vid! I must say, I love all your vids, but this is the first comment... (shame on me)

the sound problem is only if I use the windows media player, the VLC player has no problems whatsoever with the sound.

keep up the great work!!

oh and I like the scene with sheppard going down in that bunker.. It took a while till I realized you played it backwards *lol* I was thinking.. when ever did he go DOWN one of those things??

btw.. you keep infecting me with your music.. alex lloyd, living end, the fray and now eskimo joe...

the sound problem is an interesting one, cause all my computers have no trouble playing them on windows media player, very strange... thanks for the tip though.

Hehe yeah at that stage I couldn't find any scene of them going down into anything (I didnt have 'undergound' at that stage) so I thought it worked quite well :P

Hey dude, sorry for the wicked late comment. I'm totally reccing this, so don't hate on me too much. ;)

Anyway...whoa! Have I told you how much I love your work? You make fantastic vids. And it's always refreshing to watch them. I loved the song here, I wanna hear more of their stuff now, and you used it so well. I just loved all the literal interpretations of "going down" and the walking and how you ended it with that big bang and them going up, lol! Perfect timing.
But my favorite thing ever in vids is PARALLELS. You did an amazing job with these here. At 1:55/56 when they fall, 1:59/2:00 when they're both sitting! 2:02/2:04 when they both flop over like that!!! Holy crap. I'm in awe. (Hey did that shot of John at 2:04 come from Submersion?) Also, the shot of John at 1:42/43 for the lyric "black heart" was REALLY effective. Gah! I hope you're making something now because I'm totally addicted to your stuff!

Yeah this has been one of my favourite songs for a good 6 months now, I have been trying to figure out how to put into a vid for so long, it was just something I had to do, so I'm glad it worked in the end. Thanks again for the feedback, oh and that clip of Sheppard is from the Ark.
Hehehe I'm almost always working on making something, I've only got 2 more months that I can vid for, so I am desperately trying to do as much as I can. Im gonna have massive withdrawals later on :S

You did a great job tracing John and Rodney's journey, how much they've both been through but how they've been there for each other through all of it. You have a great sense of visual flow and correlation. Lovely vid!

oh wow. I absolutely loved this. I'm not going to explain this properly, but I really like the 'serious' undertone in the vid that isn't overly dramatic.

I really liked the overlapping McKay/Shep unconciousness scenes.

Hi!

Just saw two of your new vids, meaning of life and Tribute to Beckett,
Fantastic, laughed through the first and sniffed through the second one.

I'm downloading this new on, however I have snail dialup! Two hours it says, zzzzz.

We have a thunderstorm coming here in Florida, the lightening capitol of the world, so I'll make this short. I'm writing a fan story and would like to credit you and your video Two little boys in the beginning if that's all right?

I love all the editing and the way you used the musical cues. This is the first time I've heard the song and I enjoyed it. The clip choice is excellent as well and goes with the music and pacing. It's more than a Sheppard/McKay vid; it's about Sheppard and it's about McKay themselves.

Wandered over here from the McShep Awards, as I hadn't seen this before. I thought this was great, especially the scenes/images you chose. I especially liked the theming of sequences: the descent into the ocean, the long string of walking-together scenes, the falling/torture. Definitely a vid that bears much rewatching in the future. Thanks for sharing it with all!
